Our clients in Sturbridge, MA had a common problem that many homeowners face today - small kitchen, small dining room. With the help of Houzz.com and other websites, they came up with the idea of taking down a wall to enlarge the space, as well as adding a comfortable seating area and table. They brought their scrapbook of ideas to Kitchen Associates and after some back-and-forth collaboration we were able to come up with a beautiful new kitchen layout including a custom, cozy banquette. Below the bench are drawers to hide those seasonal items that the homeowners didn't want to have to dig through the basement to find.
In addition to the banquette, the project included a 36 inch cooktop, steam oven, and standard wall oven all by Wolf. Most of the existing upper cabinets were removed to make room for a huge Anderson window creates a beautiful view onto the deck and backyard to watch the grandchildren play.
The kitchen transformation is amazing! With the wall down and the new window installed, the space is now bright and open. The homeowners and their extended family will be enjoying this new kitchen for many years to come.
