This couple has a beautiful home in a beautiful Bolton, MA neighborhood. Unfortunately, their kitchen did not function the way they wanted it to.
One complaint was the poor downdraft cooktop on the island. They really liked having the cooktop in that location, but they needed more power and ventilation. The couple enjoy fine wine and wanted their wine refrigerator to be accessible from both the kitchen and the dining room when entertaining guests. One of the biggest issues with their previous kitchen was a lack of organized pantry storage.
Kitchen Associates met with the couple and took all of these concerns and more into consideration when designing a more functional, organized kitchen with much better ventilation.
The run of cabinets were angled on the end so that the wine refrigerator would be visible from the family room and still accessible in the kitchen. Now the couple can entertain friends with fine wine as well as have the cook enjoy a glass while preparing the meal in the kitchen.
The former pantry, which was once a very inefficient closet, has since been replaced with 2 tall cabinets with roll-out shelves; organized storage at it's best. Custom trim was added to the perimeter to match the other cabinets giving it a beautiful built-in look while also being very functional. Special lighting was installed that automatically turns on when the pantry doors are opened.
The couple now enjoys a new, fully functional and organized kitchen that fits the beauty of their home and neighborhood.
