These homeowners in Lancaster, MA lead an active lifestyle and enjoy spending lots of time with friends and family in and out of their beautiful swimming pool in the backyard. They were in desperate need of a new kitchen that would help them better entertain all of their friends and family.
We installed two new windows overlooking the backyard, one over the sink and the other to the left of the range hood. Now, ones working in the kitchen have a view to what's going on in the pool area. We also eliminated the old sliding door and installed a single French door. With this new door the room is still open to the backyard, but eliminating the slider allows more room for cabinets as well as a wall oven and a new steam oven, which the homeowners love.
The biggest improvement was removing the wall separating the kitchen and dining room. This opened up the space and allowed room for a beautiful new island with seating area. Now, if someone does not want to swim, they can comfortably hang out around the island enjoying food and drinks.
Another feature of this kitchen renovation is the addition of a small dry bar with a built-in beverage refrigerator. The husband loves to mix drinks and enjoy them with friends without being in his wife's way as she is prepping in the kitchen. A win for everyone!
